THE WHITE HORSE
Whitwell

The Wight Horse was a fertility cult of the Belgae - a tribe who occupied much of S.E. England between 50 BC and 50 AD. It is one of the earliest names given to public houses and this is one of the oldest pubs on the island. A delightful village inn - a thatched roof, a beautiful garden - it has lots of old-world charm.
