SLOOP INN
Wootton Bridge

Named after the old sailing sloops which used to carry cargo from the mainland, this inn is on Wootton Creek. The sign shows a fine example of this graceful craft in full sail. From the Riverside Bar there is a good view of the creek, though cargoes to and from the island are carried more prosaically these days.
