FIGHTING COCKS
Arreton

In the past many houses were centres for the popular, though cruel sport of cockfighting: and the name Fighting Cocks was commonplace. Completely rebuilt today, this inn stands between Sandown and Newport. This is the most fertile valley of the Isle of Wight - the heart of the market gardening industry - and the inn is more peaceful than its name.
