Isle of Wight Nostalgia - Poetry

A poem by Mark Rolfe

Sandown Bay

Forgotten shores turn to grey
Did you kiss the time away, at the first sign of day
The Sand remains paved in gold
Though the first light of morning, a distant glow remains
Drawing superhero's on sunstained glass
While a single star fell from your hand
Walls of run down eyes saw it all
They can forgive you for fading away
